The FlightCase Process

1. Get in contact

Reach out to us via email and schedule a conversation with us where we get to know each other.

2. Case definition

Through our conversation, we define the case definition, which states what challenges you would like us to work on. Cases can be in the direction of strategic development, concept design, service development, product creation or anything else that you and your company consider worthwhile. Don’t hesitate to go wild.

3. Research and preparation

In April, our students and professors will start preparing for the cases by analyzing the topic and scope. This process will be facilitated with customized workshops and lectures that help our designers to gain skills and context. As the case progresses, we update you with status reports.

4. Development and delivery

We will visit your company to introduce our research, and continue developing solutions. After collaborative sessions between students, professors, and your team, we will present our findings and insights.

5. Publication and reflection

After the visit, we will provide your company and TU Delft with the final reports. We will also ask for a reflection on your experience. In doing so, we will be able to improve our program in the future.

“My suggestion to the next years companies is to have faith in these young men and women, challenge them with some difficult topics.”

Ronson Leun Director of Business Development, Tai Sing Industrial

Complex problems, tangible solutions

“A design thinking workshop opens up your mind and makes you approach problems from different perspectives.

You actually see new solutions and new possibilities. It was a wonderful experience to see the students at work and to see the appreciation of the companies with the end results that were always unexpected.”

Prof.Ir. M.A. Voûte Pro Vice Rector International Affairs, TU Delft
